Summary
The Video Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the Digital Media Department in the preparation, recording, organizing, and editing of digital content on the Omega campus. Types of content include live events, interviews, teaching videos, musical performances and more.
Primary duties

Prepare camera and lighting gear for film shoots, disassemble and organize gear for storage. Operate B Camera during film shoots. Organize media assets across internal server, cloud based storage, and external hard drives.
Compensation
Non-residential seasonal staff work full-time or part-time between early May and late October. They receive a compensation package that includes:

- Ensure equipment is charged and properly stored before and after every shoot.
- Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, recorders and other production equipment.

- Familiarity with Google Drive
- Proficient computer skills; Mac and Microsoft Windows
- Experience creating, editing, and publishing online videos is a plus
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
- Frequently move items that weigh 50 pounds for various needs
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must be able to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions
- Must be able to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe details at close range

Compensation
Non-residential seasonal staff work full-time or part-time between early May and late October. They receive a compensation package that includes:
- Hourly wage (this varies by position and is at minimum above New York State minimum wage).
