Main Duties & Responsibilities

We’re currently seeking a skilled Tool Maker / Die Maker to join our talented team. If you're passionate about craftsmanship, detail, and innovation, this is the opportunity for you.
Hours: 40-50 hours/week
Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, repair, and maintain precision injection mold tools and dies according to engineering drawings and specifications
Operate manual and CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, EDM, grinders, etc.)
Perform mold modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Collaborate with engineers, mold designers, and production teams to ensure tool performance and part quality
Inspect finished tools/dies for accuracy, function, and finish
Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards
Document tool history and update records as needed
Specific Responsibilities:
Technical project management interface with client.
Mold design to required specifications
Coordinate between work cells to deliver molds to client specifications and to internal standards with the internal team and build/automation team leader
On-time delivery, mold validation
Schedules and sequences mold details to hit accurate due dates
Monitors and reports project costs
Provide DFM input to estimating as needed
Quality driven, gatekeeper on quality– last best chance.
Develops and drives machinist’s mold assembly capabilities.
Attends APQP Phase 1 as required
Expedites with other team leaders as necessary
Support other teams, develop team workflows
Orders mold bases and components/services required to complete the mold
Awareness of regulatory and customer requirements

Qualifications
Qualifications:
3 years of experience as a Tool Maker, Die Maker, or Mold Maker in a plastic injection molding environment
Proficient with blueprints, CAD drawings, and precision measuring instruments
Strong knowledge of mold construction, materials, and heat treating
Experience in Computer/CAD software (Cimatron, ProE, Mastercam) *Epicor ERP experience a plus*
Experience with CNC machinery and EDM equipment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate professionally directly to clients
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
Salary : $33 - $38
