JOB SUMMARY
The Production Scheduler maintain production schedules according to customer needs, maximizing effectiveness and throughput in all aspects of the production process. Balances incoming sales orders with existing capacity and backlog, distribute upcoming schedules to team leads and supervisors, and coordinate with leadership team to ensure ideal staffing levels and coverage.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implement daily and weekly production schedules and targets
- Balance existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput
- Monitors materials inventories, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules
- Maintain key metrics and distribute results to operations team for review
- Partners with Senior Management as needed to review trends and establish direction
- Execute plans to support company’s business planned growth
- Communicates, develops and maintains strong working relationships at all levels
- Communicates with Department Managers on performance plans throughout the shift and adjusts as needed
- Create production work orders in ERP system and make packets for production with labels and other necessary documents
- Constant follow-up that all processes and plans are being executed accordingly
- Perform all other duties as assigned
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge utilizing problem solving tools across all levels Basic to moderate computer skills including use of Word, Excel (Moderate), SharePoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, can work independently
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a 2-year college degree, or equivalent experience
- ERP Experience, QAD preferred
- Documented US work authorization, must be 18 years of age or older
- Successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and pre-employment background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Individuals may need to walk/stand for an extensive period while working within the facilities
- Able to endure working in a manufacturing environment with inside excessive hot and cold temperatures, able to tolerate exposure to dust and noise
