Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cabling (cat5,cat6, fiber), electrical systems, commercial display and fixture installations, digital signage, CCTV/alarm systems and network installations. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for telecommunications and field service, we want to hear from you.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair technical systems
- Test circuits and components using ohmmeters and voltmeters
- Perform network installations and troubleshoot Ethernet connections
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to complete service technician tasks
- Telecommunicate effectively with clients to ensure quality service
- Maintain your own schedule and communicate with management
- Track hours & reimbursements and submit to management each week
- Submit invoice to management each week
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cabling techniques and practices
- Strong understanding of electrical systems
- Experience in network installation and field service
- Familiarity with using ohmmeters and voltmeters
- Knowledge of Ethernet connections and related technologies
If you have your own tools, this is a huge plus, but not required.
We're looking for self-starters, go-getters, people who are ready to work towards big goals! You'll work both independently and with a team, depending on the number of technicians required for each work order.
This is currently a 1099 position.
Once trained, you can set your own schedule, only taking on work orders that fit your life!
Wages start at $15-$25/hr (depending on experience, skills and tools) with a minimum of 20 hours per week, plus commission and travel compensation. This can grow to a full-time position quickly if you’re ready to hit the ground running! Average pay is $800-$1000 weekly after 60 days!
Most work orders are during standard office hours and take between 1-4 hours! Be home for lunch and dinner!
Some travel required, but rarely any work that requires overnight travel. Travel over 25 miles from your home location is compensated. Average daily travel is between 10-50 miles.
Some night (after 8 pm) /early morning (before 6 am) work orders are required, but these aren’t common.
