Position Description
Provide full time piping design engineering support for facility and production area activities in Cat 2 and Cat3 facilities. The responsibilities for the design engineer are:
- Some telework is possible. Telework time is at the discretion of the STR/manager.
Provide full time piping design engineering support for facility and production area activities in Cat 2 and Cat3 facilities. The responsibilities for the design engineer are:
- Provide design output documentation to support major facility modifications, minor facility modifications, and/or Project Engineering. The types of design output documents typically developed by a piping design engineer within the Mission Engineering organization are drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, equivalency evaluations, calculations, etc.
- Ability to develop designs in accordance with ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1.
- Develop construction specifications for piping systems with various materials and requirements.
- Works with other engineering disciplines and other plant organizations to produce timely design
- output.
