Job Summary: The Senior Technical Recruiter reports to the Talent Acquisition Director. This is a full-time onsite position in Oak Ridge, TN with substantial growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will be crucial in supporting the full cycle of recruitment. The Senior Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, screening, and interviewing candidates for employment for all technical positions. The Senior Technical Recruiter will support the Talent Acquisition Director in developing recruiting strategies, work to source top talent, and attend external recruiting events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide full life cycle recruitment efforts for assigned positions, including creating job descriptions, posting positions, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting references, presenting job offers, and being the point of contact for candidates.
- Ensure proactive continual sourcing efforts to maintain a pipeline of qualified talent.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on developing recruitment strategy for assigned positions during the kickoff meeting.
- Assist hiring managers with writing and refining job descriptions.
- Manage candidate activity in Omega’s applicant tracking system and maintain organized recruitment tracker, metrics, and files in share folder system.
- Train and support hiring managers on policies, procedures, and best recruitment practices.
- Contribute to or initiate ways to strengthen recruitment processes in collaboration with the team.
- Work in partnership with the Human Resource (HR) team to seamlessly onboard new staff.
- Identify appropriate outreach opportunities and represent Omega at career fairs, professional conferences, and networking events.
- Participate in joint outreach ventures, cross-collaborating events, and join recruitment initiatives.
- Communicate the availability of applicant skill sets to managers and clients; provide frequent feedback to managers on the status of recruiting activity.
- Develop and apply strategic recruitment techniques beyond normal methods to attain passive qualified candidates for hard to recruit openings.
- Act as a company ambassador by providing excellent customer service and relationship management throughout the recruiting lifecycle-ensure an optimal candidate experience.
- Assist in responding to proposals by identifying the right profiles and building a pipeline of vetted resources.
- Attends weekly recruiting touchpoint meeting with key stakeholders.
- Coordinates with 3rd party recruiter to fill open positions.
- Fosters relationships with industry professional associations, colleges, and professionals.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study.
- 6 years of full life cycle recruitment experience, including recruiting for technical positions for U.S. government clients such as Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and Department of State.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or other similar databases used for sourcing.
- Experience in business communication software, such as Microsoft Teams.
- Understanding of federal regulations that impact recruitment, including Equal Employment Opportunity.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication multi-tasking, organization and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain sensitivity to confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous DOE related experience
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
- Experience in Paycom is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
