Title: Accountant

Omega World Travel is seeking an Accountant to join our accounting team. We are looking for an experienced and energetic Accountant to assist with company growth. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will assist with maintaining daily, weekly and monthly schedules. The position will have high visibility within the company with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger maintenance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of revenue and expenses
Assist Account Management team with the preparation of quarterly and annual client statements
Maintain Fixed Asset Registers, including depreciation calculations
Assist with preparations for the annual audit, tax returns and other corporate reporting requirements
Document and monitor internal controls and processes
Participate in accounting system upgrades and conversions, providing testing, reconciliation support, and process documentation
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance experience
Skilled in financial management (budget, forecasting, expense management, financial modeling/analysis)
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications with a strong working knowledge of Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Possess FP&A skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Accounting software application experience
Experience working with a government contractor preferred
