Affiliate Administrator
PURPOSE: To assist in administering all facets of the affiliate program. Provides information and answers questions while providing high level service to Cruise.com Affiliates (Independent Contractors). Responsible for entering and maintaining program data on affiliates and to assist with affiliate training as required. Attend events and trade shows to help attract new affiliates to the Host Agency program. Assist in planning and acting as part of host team for in-office training and social events for affiliates. This is an in-house position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform day-to-day administrative duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, data input and filing.
· Provides accurate information and assistance to affiliates as needed in a timely and pro-active manner.
· Distribute pertinent booking information to affiliates in a time sensitive manner.
· Work with Group and Document Departments to assist those departments and affiliates with obtaining information or resolving problems.
· Work with Accounting Dept. and affiliates to ensure that Agent Payout Reports are submitted within the required timeframe and are accurate at time of submission.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date affiliate records.
· Ability to compose daily emails and announcements to affiliates as needed.
· Ability to answer questions regarding trainings on agent booking system and consumer based technology to new and existing affiliates.
· Ability to evaluate internal reports for purpose of addressing outstanding issues on affiliate bookings.
· May be required to assist affiliates with back-office support.
· May be asked to attend trade shows and/or in-house events on behalf of the affiliate department both locally and out-of-state.
· May be asked to communicate program details to prospective affiliates and send out application packages.
· Performs other duties as may be assigned by either the immediate supervisor or senior management
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma,
Good math/writing skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong administration skills
6 months – 1 year recent cruise related travel industry experience or travel school courses
Excellent English verbal, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills
Ability to travel is preferred.
Must possess professional demeanor/appearance as position will participate and represent the company from time to time at trade shows and other events.
Able to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems.
Strong desire to assure retention of existing affiliates and growth of program by providing excellent support and service.
Overtime beyond 40 hours a week is not required nor permitted.
DESIRED:
Fluency in English verbal, written, and reading comprehension
Other languages spoken is a plus
College a plus
OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to learn and operate company telephone equipment.
Ability to learn the in-house computer system (ABC/ABE) and other technology.
Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for long periods (up to 8 hours a day) time using a computer and a telephone. Ability to set up and break down trade show booth materials; ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time at trade show events.
