Reporting to the E-Coat Group Leader and/or Supervisor, this candidate will work with our 1st Shift E-Coat and Dip Spin Teams in this finished goods production area.
Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees
- Observes all safety rules.
- Setup and operate various machines.
- Perform quality checks on parts, ensuring parts meet quality specifications.
- Package parts per specifications and palletize.
- Rake product from loader into baskets to prepare for coating.
- Using rake, level product in baskets on conveyors leading to coating machine.
- Assist with unload of product from baskets to tubs not downloaded automatically to packing machines.
- Record production details as necessary.
- Package fasteners at dumpstations as necessary.
- Maintains a neat and well-organized work area.
- Assist with maintenance machine as necessary.
- Other duties as directed by Shift Supervisor or Group Leader.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, quality specifications, and other related documents.
- Good written and verbal communication, and basic math skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
- Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
- Ability to use hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently.
- The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50
