SAP Service & Asset Manager (SSAM) Consultant - Richmond, VA (Hybrid, 50% travel)
We are looking to hire a candidate with the skill sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the technology consulting industry. This is a 6 month contract with the potential for extension (s). This is a Hybrid role in Richmond, VA (Hybrid, 50% travel). Resource Needs to be Local or Nearby.
Work Mode: Hybrid (50% travel required).
Remote Work: Not permitted, but travel is expected.
Visa Restrictions: Must be a Green Card Holder or US Citizen due to client requirements.
Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Configuration of SSAM: Set up SAP Service & Asset Manager mobile solution across various process workstreams.
- Expert Configuration: Lead configuration of SSAM, including configuration panel, data filtering, and order assignment models.
- Application Configuration: Customize the application to align with configuration rational documentation.
- Quality and Standards: Apply best practices to ensure high-quality configuration and adherence to standards.
- Component Testing: Conduct initial environment setup and component testing.
- Support Testing: Assist in unit testing within the development environment, ensuring smooth testing progress.
- Assembly and System Testing: Assist with assembly testing and system testing for RICEW work units.
- Prioritize Tasks: Work closely with Tower Leads to schedule and prioritize configuration tasks.
- Defect Resolution: Collaborate with Tower Leads to address and resolve defects found during testing.
- Defect Reporting: Report defects using the issue tracking tool for further analysis by the Solution Architect.
- Issue Notification: Notify the test lead of any issues that could impact the schedule, budget, or product quality.
- Progress Reporting: Maintain consistent communication with the team and report on progress and status of configuration tasks.
Required Skills/Experience/Education:
- 8 years of IT industry experience and 3 years of experience in (SSAM).
- 3 years of experience of SAP Service & Asset Manager mobile solution (SSAM).
- 3 years of experience SSAM MDK.
- 3 years of experience SSAM Front-end Development.
- Utilities Industry Experience: Preferable for understanding domain-specific configurations and processes. Utilities industry experience is required to ensure familiarity with industry-specific configurations and processes.
- SSAM Back-end: Experience with back-end configuration is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field).
