Scope:
Seeking an experience professional coder with a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement, auditing and provider education. Candidates must have a pro fee coding credential and preferably a CCDS credential. Candidates must be well versed in clinical criteria and able to identify query opportunities from the clinical data. The role will review hospital and clinic records for accuracy in EM level assignment and procedure code assignment identifying coding education, document improvement opportunities, and query opportunities. Productivity expectation is an average of 9 charts per hour or 350 reviews weekly. This project is expected to go through October 2025 at a minimum and may be extended longer. Schedule expectations are for initial training to be available between 8a and 4p Pacific Time. After training the schedule can be more flexible within reason.
