Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for construction materials testing. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently outdoors in all weather conditions, while ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collect Soil Samples and concrete cores for our laboratory to test
- Visit various worksites for materials collection & consultation with clients.
- Utilize tools such as nuclear density gages, shovel, rakes, earth auger (hand and mechanical) and other hand tools.
- Maintain accurate written log of site visits and activity
- Collaborate with team members to improve customer satisfaction.
- Prepare client report of test results
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all field operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Familiarity with computer and good math skills.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently in various environments while managing time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing industry standards.
- Required Formal Training within 12 months of hire: OSHA 10 & ACI Level One(training provided)
No previous construction experienced required, but preferred with the following qualifications:
- ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1 or higher
- ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
- ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
- ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 or higher
- NCAT Asphalt Level 1 Technician or Roadway Technician
- Radiation Safety Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification

Pay: $16.50 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
