What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Scientist position at Omiz Staffing Solutions (OSS)?

- Location : Ridgefield, CT (Hybrid)
- Duration : 6 months (with possible extension)
- Pay Rate : $45 - $51 / hr on W2
- Lead and execute end-to-end data science projects across business units
- Design and build computational models for insights and smart decision-making
- Apply cutting-edge techniques like ML, NLP, causal inference, and advanced statistics
- Collaborate with business teams and developers to deploy scalable solutions
- Establish best practices in data operations, compliance, and model monitoring
- Use agile methodologies for fast and effective project delivery
- 3 years of experience in data science, including data prep, visualization & modeling
- Proficiency in Python, R, and C for statistical analysis and ML modeling
- Strong background in marketing analytics (Marketing Mix Modeling, A / B Testing, CLV)
- Experience with time-series modeling, pricing strategy, and customer segmentation
- Hands-on expertise with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, HDFS) & database queries
- Knowledge of web scraping, text processing, and unstructured data analysis
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication, and agile development experience
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or related fields (PhD a plus!)
- Pharma experience & Computer Vision skills highly desired
