One of our Biotech customers is seeking a proactive and organized professional to manage their laboratories at their Cambridge, MA, location! This is a 100% onsite position, offering a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our laboratory operations.
Role: Lab Manager
📍 Location: Cambridge, MA (100% Onsite)
🗓️ Duration: Long term - 3 years (with potential for extension)
💲 Pay Rate: $45 - $50 per hour (W2)

Must-Have Skills:
✅ Strong organizational abilities.
✅ Proactive problem-solving approach.
✅ General lab management experience (3-5 years preferred).
Ideal Background:
🎓 Minimum of a GED/HS diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
🔬 3-5 years of experience in lab management, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
⚙️ Knowledge of synthetic labs is a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
🏷️ Lab Management:
- Drive organization and enhance productivity by adhering to 5S principles.
- Create and maintain digital lab occupancy plans for equipment, consumables, and personnel.
- Manage work orders for facility and equipment repairs, installations, and removals.
- Coordinate and participate in scheduled lab cleanouts (biannual) and monthly safety walkthroughs.
🔧 Equipment & Instrument Ownership:
- Schedule preventative maintenance, calibrations, and system initializations.
- Maintain lab automation tools, reactor equipment, and consumable inventory.
- Support software installations and upgrades.
- Track instrument usage and operational status using an online tool.
📦 Inventory & Chemical/Equipment Ordering:
- Order and organize laboratory reagents and consumables.
- Manage purchase orders, chemical shipping documents, and equipment orders.
- Handle incoming/outgoing shipments of tools, ancillary equipment, and chemicals.

❌ No prior lab management experience.
