Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and rewarding summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster a sense of community among campers while ensuring their well-being and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers in various activities including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and skill development.
- Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to camp policies and procedures.
- Provide support in areas such as childhood development, special education, or tutoring as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with campers through effective communication and active listening.
- Assist with conflict resolution among campers to promote a harmonious camp environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp facilities and equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare and first aid.
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in childhood development, special education, or childcare is preferred.
- Skills in sports coaching for leading engaging activities.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a babysitter or tutor will be beneficial.
- A passion for working with children in a camp setting is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Must be available for the entire duration of the camp season.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
