Job Summary:  Under the supervision of the Graphic Design and Media Manager, the Graphic Design and Media Coordinator of Omni Family Health (OFH) executes graphic design projects and media initiatives throughout a growing network of state-of-the-art health centers located in the Southern San Joaquin Valley of California, in Kern, Kings, Tulare and Fresno counties. As a member of the marketing and communications team, this position supports the advancement of the organization’s mission and Strategic Plan, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to build, strengthen and amplify the OFH brand. The Graphic Design and Media Coordinator is responsible for performing advanced graphic and website design, developing and maintaining graphics, logos, illustrations, advertisements, brochures and many other forms of visual collateral materials and publications. This position supports other marketing and communications activities such as email and direct mail campaigns, video development and editing, special events, social media communications, and supports brand management initiatives. 

 

Job Duties:

  1. Design and produce corporate collateral material (internal and external), ensuring all graphic design work meets corporate guidelines; collateral may include brochures, datasheets, posters, presentation material, multimedia, illustration, logo design, exhibit material, print ads, banner ads, and packaging.
  2. Support day-to-day maintenance and operation of the corporate website, including incorporating new technologies, regularly update the content, ongoing enhancements, and working with an external web design firm.
  3. Work collaboratively with marketing and communications team in the design, planning and implementation of social media activity on Facebook, Linkedln, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other interactive social media tools and platforms.
  4. Work collaboratively to strengthen OFH brand awareness among all audiences.
  5. Analyze brands of competitors and suggest best practices.
  6. Coordinate web functions, monitor web activities, and perform regular analysis and website analytics.
  7. Assure all web pages and code comply with appropriate policies, guidelines, and standards.
  8. Identify and design appropriate icons, images, and other graphic elements to be included in various marketing materials.
  9. Work with the team on ad campaign development and execution, collateral design, event material, and more as directed.
  10. Support the web components of ongoing marketing campaigns, warm landing pages, forms, auto-responses, and subscriptions.
  11. Create targeted email communications; design copy and graphics, build in HTML, test and send emails and report on results; create landing pages and optimize content to drive conversions; draft and/or design action alerts, announcements, and other communications; maintain an updated list of the organization's email contacts.
  12. Design and produce subject-matter reports and the organization's all-digital annual report.
  13. Create advanced PowerPoint presentation materials.
  14. Coordinate photographer and videographer shoots and footage.
  15. Utilize digital camera and software, video and audio recording equipment as necessary.
  16. Support creation of camera-ready and digital .pdf file layouts for all publications: newsletter, brochures, calendars, booklets, posters, and more as needed.
  17. Support preparation of printing specifications and monitor production deadlines and quality of printing projects with print industry.
  18. Participate in the planning and executing corporate events and activities including, but not limited to, grand openings, employee celebrations, health center tours, and employee service awards.
  19. Coordinate with print/production vendors, photographers, and other third-party vendors for special projects, promotion items, events, etc.
  20. Other special projects and duties when needed or as assigned

 

Functional Duties:

Supports strategy, design and execution of: 

  1. Outdoor advertising including but not limited to billboards and busses
  2. Television and radio advertising 
  3. Collateral print materials including but not limited to newspapers, magazines, flyers and brochures 
  4. Online and website including social media, intranet and website maintenance
  5. Signage including but not limited to health center and events
  6. Corporate communications and reports including but not limited to newsletters and presentations
  7. Promotional and product development
  8. Special projects and events as directed 

 

Essential/Required Skills:

  1. Fluency in current graphic design practices, web design software, and other applications, such as Adobe Photoshop (preferred), Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, and Corel Draw (preferred).
  2. Strong technical knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  3. Experience with HTML at the tag level and HTML Editor, e.g., Dreamweaver.
  4. Experience with search engine optimization tactics and improving organic search engine results for specified keywords.
  5. Experience converting images (TIFF, BMP, PSD) for online use (JPG, GIF) using Adobe Software or others.
  6. Experience with marketing, social media, online campaigns, and subscription features.
  7. Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles and a wide variety of media and production methods, including multimedia and video.
  8. Experience managing content on websites, blogs, and other online platforms, including experience with WordPress, Drupal, or a comparable content management system.
  9. Outstanding graphic design skills and the ability to conform to an organization's established style guide.
  10. Proficient on Microsoft Windows OS  and Microsoft Office software applications.
  11. Experience coding, producing, proofing, testing, and troubleshooting HTML email campaigns.

  6. Promotes and believes in the Omni Family Health mission and vision.
  7. Demonstrates knowledge of branding and marketing principles.
  8. Ability to relate to the public regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, age, sex, disability, or economic status.

 

Additional Duties:

  1. HIPAA compliance - Responsible for maintaining abreast of and in compliance with all HIPPA regulations and requirements. Treats all member information confidential.
  2. Compliance - Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  3. QA/QI - Participate in QA/QI activities and contribute towards the overall performance improvement of the organization.
  4. IT - Required learning and using the EHR/EOHR (Medical Practice Electronic System) and its components. As required by the job functions and highlighted in the Policies and Procedures. These components include NextGen, Healthport, PMS, QSI and other electronic features, as they are developed and implemented, as applicable to work environment. 
  5. All employees will participate in the Patient Centered Health Home Model at Omni Family Health.

 

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  1. Technical certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing or communications required or equivalent work experience in marketing, communications, or advertising.
  2. A minimum of (3) years’ experience in graphic design required. 
  3. Experience with popular social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, required. 
  4. Familiarity with the health care delivery system practices through education, training or experience preferred.
  5. Willing to travel within the health center network as needed or required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
