We are seeking a strong Functional Business Analyst to support Omni Federal to help in designing and building a mission control system. As a Functional Business Analyst you are the bridge between mission stakeholders and the development team. You will be responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into clear and actionable functional requirements, and ensuring that the developed software meets those requirements
Position Description (what you will do)
- Interface with end users, satellite operators, to understand their day-to-day job with respect to needs and frustrations with the current system
- Interface with UX design lead to understand functional requirements for new system
- Interface with Tech Leads to ground implementation team with functional requirements
- Write User Stories paired with wireframes from UX team to
- Outline test cases based on User Stories
- Functionally test end system based upon User Stories and and test cases
- Log bugs found in the course of testing and ensure resolution on those bugs
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working with software development teams
- Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and principles.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements in user story format
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using requirements management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
