Aerial Supervisor
The Aerial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, planning, and organizing aerial construction efforts for new builds, maintenance, and rebuild projects. This role involves supervising both in-house construction teams and contract labor, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality of work. The Aerial Supervisor will also play a key role in the hiring, training, development, and performance management of team members, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise, plan, and organize aerial construction efforts for new builds, maintenance, and storm restoration.
- Coordinate with engineers and developers to design plant layouts, including drawing / sketching equipment installation locations and completing bills of materials (BOM).
- Monitor daily construction progress and performance of in-house teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with agreements and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control of work performed by internal teams and contractors.
- Review and submit daily production reports and reconcile submitted invoices to completed work.
- Ensure that permitting and make-ready processes are followed before construction begins.
- Provide regular updates to managers or designated delegates regarding construction progress.
- Process and communicate damage claims as needed, updating all necessary parties.
- Foster positive employee relations by maintaining open lines of communication and offering ongoing support.
- Adhere to industry-specific regulations, local, state, and federal safety codes, and company policies.
- If you are assigned a company vehicle, you will be responsible for stocking, cleaning, and reporting maintenance needs to Fleet Manager.
Required Qualifications :
5 years of experience as an Aerial Lineman.
Supervisory or foreman experience in aerial construction.
In-depth understanding of telecom infrastructure, specifically in OSP construction.
Experience working with aerial machinery and equipment
