Operations Manager
We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily operations across logistics, warehousing, field support, and cross-functional coordination with Procurement, Construction, Network Operations, and Field Operations. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring materials are efficiently moved from warehouses or depots to job sites, while driving operational excellence and supporting company growth.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, can manage both logistics and operations seamlessly, and is ready to hit the ground running on day one. This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity in Port Clinton, OH
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse and logistics personnel across multiple sites.
- Provide coaching and performance management to drive accountability and growth.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage daily operations across warehousing, logistics, construction, and field materials.
- Ensure efficient scheduling, material movement, and facility organization.
- Monitor safety compliance, process adherence, and operational KPIs.
- Oversee the transportation and distribution of materials from warehouse to field locations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and minimal project disruption.
- Support warehouse planning, expansions, or relocations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Lead inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Support asset tracking and movement between locations.
- Partner closely with Procurement, Field Ops, Network Operations, and Construction teams to ensure project readiness.
- Serve as the key operations point of contact between stakeholders and warehouse functions.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable, sustainable solutions.
- Support ERP system implementations and optimizations (e.g., Business Central).
- Champion continuous improvement efforts and SOP standardization.
- Develop and report on KPIs related to logistics, inventory, and warehouse performance.
- Deliver regular operational updates to the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional coordination.
- 3 years of experience working in operations, logistics, or supply chain.
- Balanced understanding of logistics and operations management - Must handle both domains effectively.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Must be able to commute to the Port Clinton office at least 3 days a week.
- Occasional travel - approximately once a quarter for work.
- Telecommunications or related industry experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred but not required.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications is preferred but not required.
- OSHA certification or familiarity with field operations safety protocols is preferred but not required.
