Job Description
The Development Manager - Hotel Operations position is part of the Leader In Development (LID) program, a comprehensive management training initiative offered by Omni Hotels & Resorts. This dynamic role is designed to develop entry-level candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent into skilled managers within the Housekeeping and Rooms Division operations.
About the Role
- To effectively perform job functions across various front office, ideal services, guest services, reservations, and housekeeping positions.
- Complete LID learning contracts and execute assigned management functions to support management development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily room inspections according to standards.
- Familiarize yourself with housekeeping systems and equipment, including daily reports and PDQ standards.
- Be knowledgeable about all hotel rate plans and rate codes, understanding rate strategy when making rate changes for guests.
- Assist with initial and continued training of all line-level front office associates, conducting MOS audits and on-the-spot coaching as needed.
- Support shift coverage in the event of staff call-offs.
- Represent the Omni Brand and Culture at all times, adhering to the expectations outlined in the Omni leadership competencies.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Hospitality Management.
- Previous hotel experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate after completing the program.
- Housekeeping or Rooms Division experience is preferred.
- Ability to work 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
