Guests can also enjoy a dynamic 20,000 square foot urban food hall and market connected to the lobby of the hotel. Transforming Liberty Street into a pedestrian thoroughfare, the market serves as a community gateway for hotel guests and locals alike, inviting the neighborhood in with the smells of freshly brewed Heine Brothers’ coffee, baked bread, and smoked barbeque.
Job Description
To ensure our guests experience the highest level of satisfaction across our food and beverage division, we are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our food and beverage team as Seasonal Hotel Food and Beverage bar housemen. In this role you will do your part in ensuring exceptional guest service and you will contribute to positive and memorable experiences for all our guests during peak season. The responsibilities for this role include the following:

Qualifications
- Excellent guest service skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry and push heavy items, including banquet tables and chairs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail in ensuring event spaces are set up to specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to assist in diverse roles, moving and adjusting to business needs.
- Must be able to have a flexible work schedule, including availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be STAR certified.
- Must be Food Handlers certified.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must be able to work in tight quarters with other people.
- Able to lift and carry 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to stand, sit, walk, squat, reach and lean during the course of daily business.
- Previous experience as a bar back or hotel houseman in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Duration
This is a seasonal position, with the opportunity for extension based on business needs.
