Job Description
The Laundry and Stewarding departments attendant will make sure that linens are processed in a timely fashion, in accordance with Omni Hotel standards, and should be comfortable operating all laundry equipment (ex. commercial dryer, commercial washer, linen folder, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Clean and process dirty linens
- Fold and count laundered items
- process the linens through the various machines
- Alert manager or supervisor on duty if a machine is not working correctly
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs, and stand for 7-8 hours per shift
- Must be able to bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, and kneel on a regular basis throughout shift
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible scheduling, including morning and evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous laundry experience in a professional setting (preferred)
- Should be comfortable working in an enviroment that is hot due to the machines and processing the linens.
