Opened in May 2023, the Omni Frisco PGA Resort provides North Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we provide incredible options for our guests and the local community for dining, events, and entertainment.This is an advanced-level position with management skills required, responsible for assisting the Head Golf Professional in the daily functions of golf operations.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Professionals and Director of Golf and Operations in the daily golf operation.Initiate and promote golf activities for guests of the Resort and Club 1916 members.Render professional advice, services, and assistance to guests.Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournament, golf groups, and services.Directly manage and oversee hourly teams in areas of Player Services, On-Course Player Assistants, and Golf Shop Associates.Generate ideas for improving overall standards for the operation.Participate in daily stand-up, monthly meetings, and communicate efficiently with various departments within the Omni Resort team.Ensure the “pace of play” standard is maintained daily.Oversee the Golf Shop Associate team and ensure accurate operation of the point of sale system.Assist with physical retail inventory counts and reporting.Attend company required meetings and trainings.QualificationsMust be registered in the PGA or LPGA or Professional Golf Management program and have completed PGA Level 2 or higher.College degree preferred, but not required.Has management experience and is competent in leading teams.Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills.Must possess strong computer and organizational skills.Proficient in operating golf-related systems such as tournament management software, Visage, EZ Locator, and competent in learning and operating new systems directly related to Omni Hotels & Resorts.Experienced in tournament operations.Experienced in golf shop merchandising.Ability and willingness to operate in a high paced and busy environment with composure and competency.Our Team : Our Golf Professional Staff consists of Director of Golf Paul Earnest, PGA, Head Golf Professionals Trish Holt, PGA & Glen Griffith, PGA, and six (6) Assistant Golf Professionals.
