Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking aBusiness Travel Sales Manager at the beautiful Interlocken Resort & Spa!

Omni Interlocken Resort & Spais seeking an experiencedBusiness Travel Sales Managerto join our outstanding Sales & Marketing team! This vital role will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and sales leaders to achieve monthly room night goals, develop and implement sales action plans, maintain positive interdepartmental communications, drive Omni’s Select Guest Loyalty program and to complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Salary for this position (based on experience) : $67,000 / year plus bonus potential. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

Additional associate benefits offered include golf privileges, discounts at the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties, corporate discounts, continued education opportunities and more.

Responsibilities

Fully develop Corporate Transient market segments (ESP, Consortia, Government) and achieve room night and revenue goals for all three segments.

Emphasize higher rated, less price sensitive business traveling on shoulder days of the week, as prescribed by individual hotels.

Maintain weekly outside solicitation, and presentations as necessary.

Track all accounts daily including Consortia, ESP, and Government segments.

Develop new accounts and maintain growth of existing accounts.

Is current and abides by all sales office procedures and systems.

Participate in weekly marketing and rooms merchandising meetings, monthly sales meetings, stand up daily and monthly sales meetings as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Actively drive Omni’s loyalty program and engage and connect with select guest members to further promote loyalty.

Maintain relationships with GSO’s.

Attend monthly ESP conference calls with corporate office.

Attend industry meetings / participation as required.

Attend any applicable training.

Qualifications

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Must have at least 2 years of sales experience (BT experience preferred).

Strong analytical and researching skills to identify prospective customers.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and re-prioritize when necessary.

Must have experience in 'cold call' solicitation, site inspections / visits with clients, and contract negotiations.

Strong customer service and rapport building skills.

Must be willing to travel on a monthly basis and represent the Hotel during Trade Shows / Conventions.

Hospitality degree preferred.
