What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Engineer position at Omni Inclusive?
The hiring manager shared that he is open to a contractor who can work only nights : 7 PM - 7 AM, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. There will be a shutdown period typically during Christmas where the contractor wouldn't be expected to work, but it's adhoc, usually 3 weeks (they would be at the standard rate during this time). During onboarding, typically the first 6 weeks, the candidate would start at the STD rate.
Top Must Have's / Keywords : experience with having worked on shift and open to 12 hour shift; PLC / Robotics / Automation systems. Life Sciences Manufacturing experience.
Note : HM is looking for automation experience. The profiles we received previously were heavier on the validation side vs automation. Also, Life Science Manufacturing experience is mandatory. Thank you!
- Job Summary :
The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment. This position is responsible for design, programming and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software. They will provide technical support to customers, develop technical documents, and participate in project management and project coordination. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation strategies for industrial process control systems. They will be required to have a working knowledge of industrial control systems, and be able to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Needs to be comfortable with the night shift work.
