DuPont Electronics & Industrial - Process Control Technician
This position is for a Process Control Technician to work in the Electronics & Industrial (E&I) Marlborough Maintenance group providing value through maintenance support throughout the site.
Candidate will support the Automation and Process Control systems and provide first contact support to operations, maintenance, and automation engineers. Candidate will participate in regular and scheduled maintenance activities with vendor / contractor support and other maintenance functions. Candidate will implement and support control system best practices under the direction of the Site Electrician / Process Automation Engineer and / or other A&PC guidance.
Major Duties
Successful candidate will be responsible for.
- Perform condition monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Control Systems DeltaV and Client Fanuc / Allen-Bradley PLC, VFD, and communication systems.
- Hands-on experience in the Delta V system and PLC's
- Perform software maintenance of all relevant systems.
- Responsible for Password integrity of all Control systems. Assign system access levels.
- Ensure sufficient stock of spare parts for Control Systems, Information Technology, and communication systems.
- Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities.
- Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively.
- Carry out emergency procedures as necessary.
- Perform housekeeping in the work area to maintain site safety standards.
- Perform safety hazard assessments before initiating work to ensure the elimination of hazards.
- Follow safe work permit and lock-out tag-out procedure on equipment to ensure it is inoperable and safe to work on.
- Participate in maintenance reliability programs and processes.
- Calibrate, install, and maintain electrical / electronic equipment, pneumatic process control, and related systems.
- Contributes to the design, implementation, and programming of control systems for equipment Upgrades and new installations.
- Demonstrate ability to :
Work on sophisticated electronic equipment, or it must be expected that the individual can work on high-tech equipment.
