Job Summary

The Program Manager at an Automotive Tier-1 Supplier is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of product development programs, from initiation through to production and delivery. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership : Lead and manage program activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
  • Project Planning : Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Budget Management : Monitor program budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Customer Interface : Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the program's progress and outcomes.
  • Cross-functional Coordination : Facilitate communication and collaboration among various departments to ensure seamless execution of program objectives.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure that all program deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Status Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on program progress, challenges, and key decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement : Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program management within the automotive industry, preferably with a Tier-1 supplier.
  • Technical Skills : Strong understanding of automotive product development processes and manufacturing principles.
  • Project Management : Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, team members, and senior management.
  • Leadership : Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
  • Software Proficiency : Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office Suite).
