Omni-Serv is seeking TSA Assistants with excellent customer service skills to assist TSA officers in airport screening operations. We are looking for candidates who can maintain a professional demeanor, who are team players, and have a positive “can do” attitude. The Customer Service Assistant will work in accordance with all TSA screening regulations while enforcing Operational Security at the Newark Liberty International Airport. Ideal applicants will need to have a positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
Job Scope:
The incumbent will serve in a high-stakes environment. The incumbent is expected to aid in securing specific airport transit systems, thus protecting the transportation infrastructure, and ensuring freedom and efficient movement for people.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Provide assistance in the monitoring and flow of individuals through security check lane(s) to reduce wait times as much as possible, adjusts passenger traffic as necessary to ensure consistent and smooth flow of traffic.
2. Moves checked baggage to and from X-ray conveyer systems during screening process.
3. Ensures security check points are properly supplied with an appropriate supply of bins and organized to ensure a smooth flow of passenger traffic for screening operations.
4. Provides information and assistance to passengers divesting items into storage bins.
5. Develops skills necessary to maintain situational awareness at all times in order to effectively apply appropriate response based on the situation.
6. Completes logs, forms, and other paperwork applicable to assigned duties.
7. Takes appropriate steps to ensure all safety requirements are adhered to and suggests safety improvements as appropriate.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Strong analytical and organizational skills
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Required Education and Experience:
· A high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) high school equivalency certificate.
· Must pass a 10-year Homeland Security Background Check
· Must pass a Drug Screening
· Excellent Customer Service Skills
· Multitasking is a must.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing
· Must be able to lift 10 pounds at a time.
Salary: $18.00 p/h
