Pod Lead
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Incumbent Pod Lead is responsible for monitoring and managing the Pod, which includes administrative and operational duties. The Pod Lead will be responsible for ensuring all Pod equipment is running efficiently. Also, the incumbent must have the ability and willingness to operate production machinery, as needed, to maintain the production schedule. The incumbent Pod Lead must communicate appropriately and effectively with supervision, maintenance, and coworkers to maintain production.
Responsible for but not limited to;
- Ensure escalation plan is being utilized
- Display a sense of accountability and ownership for the Pod
- Must be able to troubleshoot and relay technical information to maintenance
- Ensure required PMs are communicated to maintenance
- Maintain and ensure performance of Pod employees is within production standards
- Advocate for needs for the Pod
- Ability to utilize ERP systems (ie. IFS, SAP)
- Adjust resources as necessary to properly operate the Pod
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to cross train and work across each Pod
- Express and demonstrate a sense of urgency and show initiative (use all heads, run at full speed, etc.)
- Must be the first line supervision of employees in Pod
- Must have a working knowledge and ability/willingness to operate of all Pod equipment
- Properly utilize quality app to capture issues and show samples
- Maintain the DMS board
- Ensure requested centerline changes are completed
- Lead changeovers and educate the technicians on changeovers
- Efficiently and properly train/mentor Pod Leads, Multi-Machine Operators, Multi-Machine Technicians (Techs)
- Any other duties given by Leadership (Director, Manager, Supervisor)
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven Machine Operator experience
- Knowledge of computer-based systems
- Working knowledge of production procedures
- Demonstrates an attention to detail
- Teamwork and effective communication skills (Technical school preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for multiple hours (8, 10, 12-hour shifts)
- Must be able to withstand extreme heat and cold conditions
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Ability to properly utilize stairs
- Ability to speak to deliver oral information to coworker to convey specific spoken instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
