Job Summary
Omni Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to join our team as a Systems Design and Preconstruction Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the systems design process and coordinate the planning and organization of low voltage and life safety systems installations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the CAD/design department in creating drawings for low voltage devices and installations.
- Review and ensure all drawings and specifications comply with established standards and codes.
- Collaborate with team members to accommodate change requests, making revisions to drawings and layouts as necessary.
- Verify design accuracy and ensure all bill of materials are correct.
- Oversite of the estimating department, providing support to manage estimating schedules and overall estimating standards.
- Support the estimating department in preparing pricing and estimates for customers.
- Manage the preconstruction department, primarily to work with the project management team in pre-planning of projects, utilizing a technical skillset.
- Provide regular updates to management on the status of design, estimating, and prefabrication projects.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with low voltage system design and installation, along with familiarity in prefabrication processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required.
- Proven management experience with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Organized with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with D-Tools software is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multitask effectively, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong reliability, self-motivation, and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both field and office personnel.
