Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roll Off Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating roll off trucks to transport waste and debris from various job sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks. The Roll Off Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll off trucks, including front loader and rear loader trucks, to transport waste materials.
- Load and unload materials at designated locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, materials transported, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding job status and any potential delays.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on vehicles as needed.
- Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating roll off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Previous experience in waste management or related fields is an advantage.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
