Omni Wound Physicians (OWP) is hiring Field Assistants to support mobile wound care teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across Washington. Field Assistants provide logistical, administrative, and basic clinical support while working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and supervising MDs. Pay & Financial Benefits
Pay rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (Hourly, Non-Exempt)
Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate for eligible travel expenses

Work Expectations & Scheduling
Full-time team members work a minimum of 30 hours per week
Part-time team members work less than 30 hours per week and must commit to at least two shifts per week
Schedules and work hours vary based on business needs; no guarantee of a specific number of hours or shifts per pay period
Weekend and evening availability may be required based on patient care scheduling
Shifts are typically 8 hours or more, depending on patient volume and business needs

Key Responsibilities
Patient & Provider Support
Assist physicians, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and supervising MDs in wound care procedures
Prepare and sterilize medical supplies and instruments
Maintain aseptic techniques during dressing changes
Take and document wound photographs for medical records
Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
Administer approved medications as directed by the provider, within legal scope of practice
Work effectively with patients who may have intellectual disabilities, cognitive impairments, or behavioral challenges
Scheduling & Logistics
Confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient travel routes and timely visits
Travel up to 36 miles per shift to patient locations, either driving independently or riding with a provider (NP/PA/MD)
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Maintain compliance with company policies, professional standards, and HIPAA regulations
Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations
May be required to perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as business needs necessitate
Professionalism & Team Collaboration
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and external contacts
Communicate with clarity and professionalism using email, Slack, and other digital communication tools
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to ensure efficiency and continuity of care
Required Skills & Qualifications
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (medical equipment, supplies, etc.)
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
Ability to perform patient transfers and mobility assistance if needed
Cognitive & Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate provider and patient needs
Ability to adapt to changing situations, schedules, and patient care needs
Technical & Equipment Skills
Proficiency with computers, tablets, and EMR systems for scheduling, documentation, and communication
Experience with email, Slack, and other digital communication platforms for seamless coordination with care teams
Comfortable using basic medical equipment for wound care and patient support
Minimum Qualifications
Required Certifications (Must Have at Least One)
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Basic patient care and wound care support
Medical Assistant (MA) – Patient care assistance, administrative support, and instrument preparation
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Medication administration, wound care support, and patient education
Surgical Technician – Instrument sterilization, surgical assistance, and post-procedure care
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Emergency response and wound care support
Preferred Certifications & Skills
CPR Certification – Preferred to ensure safety during patient care and emergencies
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training – Preferred for working with patients exhibiting challenging behaviors or intellectual disabilities
Typing proficiency of at least 50 words per minute – for documentation efficiency
Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus but not required
