- Position Summary :
- The Physician Assistant is a key part of the clinical team, delivering advanced wound care and feeding tube management services across a designated region. The role involves extensive travel to provide hands-on care in various settings, ensuring optimal patient recovery and satisfaction. Strong clinical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are essential.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Advanced Clinical Care :
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage various types of acute and chronic wounds (e.g., venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic wounds).
- Perform specialized procedures such as debridement, negative pressure therapy, and feeding tube placements and maintenance.
- Monitor wound healing and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Patient Advocacy and Education :
- Develop personalized care plans and educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on wound care and feeding tube management.
- Professionalism and Collaboration :
- Maintain respectful communication with primary care providers, facility teams, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative care environment.
- Communication and Documentation :
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EHR systems and provide updates on patient progress to stakeholders while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Workflow Optimization and Innovation :
- Identify and implement improvements in clinical workflows to enhance care delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Regional Travel and Adaptability :
- Travel extensively (50-70 miles daily) to various care sites, adapting to diverse clinical settings.
- Safety and Compliance :
- Follow infection control protocols and respond to urgent patient needs, ensuring safety and compliance with OWP policies.

- Position Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Washington State.
- National certification through NCCPA.
