Position Overview
As a Wound Care Medical Doctor (MD) with OWP, you’ll be at the forefront of innovative wound care, traveling throughout your assigned region to provide expert clinical treatment. This role is ideal for a dedicated physician looking to make a direct impact on patient health while mentoring other providers and working in a collaborative, high-quality care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized wound care – Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic wounds, performing procedures such as sharp and excisional debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, and tissue biopsies.
Gastrostomy tube management – Conduct safe replacement, removal, and maintenance procedures.
Mentor & lead – Guide and oversee Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), ensuring clinical excellence.
Collaborate across disciplines – Work with primary care providers, consulting physicians, and facility staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate & advocate – Empower patients, caregivers, and facility teams with wound care knowledge and best practices.
Ensure compliance & safety – Maintain infection control standards, adhere to HIPAA regulations, and fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities.

Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Active, unrestricted medical license in Washington State.
Board certification in Surgery (preferred), OB / GYN, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
Wound care certification or experience (CWSP or CWS preferred, required within 6 months of hire).
Minimum 3–6 years of clinical experience , with expertise in wound care procedures.
Reliable transportation & ability to travel up to 50–70 miles per day within the assigned region.
