Job Summary:
Oversee Intact Case Managers in providing assessments, parent education, referral, resource, advocacy, crisis intervention, and other supportive assistance to caseload referred by IDCFS with an emphasis on promoting healthy families and achieving satisfactory case closure in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports OMNI’s mission, vision and values by exhibiting excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect personalization, accountability and ownership.
- Supervises 5 – 6 Intact Case Managers using a trauma informed universal approach.
- Be knowledgeable in and ensure compliance with DCFS policy and procedure
- Provide Supervision for trauma informed case management services and oversee the ancillary services in accordance with the family’s Service and Prevention Plan and the expectations of the IDCFS Intact Family Services contract.
- Manage the home visits of IFS Case Managers and the services that are provided to service recipients.
- Ensure program goals are met.
- Oversee the preparation of any required court reports, attend required court hearings, and carry out orders of the court.
- Ensure IFS staff are meeting required IDCFS and agency paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies or service providers as required to perform assigned duties.
- Maintain active contact with collateral providers involved with assigned cases.
- Ensure IFS staff are maintaining consistent minimum contact with assigned clients as required by IDCFS contract and directed by supervisor.
- Responsible for the team to meet or exceed all dashboard goals
- Participate in Child and Family Team meetings, ensure they are held in compliance with procedure.
- Successfully complete required IDCFS training and attend additional workshops or trainings on pertinent topics to maintain job-related competencies.
- Work cooperatively with other Intact Family team members regarding case management issues and responsibilities. Attend and actively participate in regular Team Meetings.
- Supervise IFS case managers who provide crisis intervention on a rotating basis as assigned.
- Meet weekly with staff to consult and review cases and carry out work-related instructions with regard to clients. Ensure timely documentation of supervisory contacts.
- Provide training to new staff on IFS program goals, processes, procedures, and policies
- Attend training regarding childhood trauma, symptoms and a universal approach to use when working in an organization that delivers services to trauma exposed children and families.
- Develop ongoing community relationships with service providers and Court personnel.
- Perform other duties which may be assigned to support the agency or program’s mission.
- Ensure timely submission of expense reports and time entries
- Minimum of master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field plus three years child welfare experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
- Must have both CERAP (Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol) certification and IDCFS Child Welfare Licensure before cases may be assigned.
- A minimum of 3 years case management experience
- Flexibility and willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours if needed to carry out all job responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to clients’ and coworkers’ cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to understand, practice, and support the agency values of technical competence, outstanding customer service, superior team player, and commitment to quality improvement.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and SACWIS
- Work effectively with diverse workforce and client groups.
- Possess a valid Illinois drivers license, current automobile insurance providing minimum coverage, and own transportation that meets standards for safety and drivability.
Salary : $72,000 - $77,000
