ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Station Maintenance Manager is responsible to the Manager of Line Maintenance, and maintains a current Airframe & PowerPlant Certificate. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Ensures safety and security of Maintenance Station
  • Monitors aircraft schedules and coordinates with Maintenance Control to ensure adequate ground-time to effect repairs
  • Provides oversight of all Station personnel
  • Monitors performance of assigned Maintenance personnel including contractors, for effectiveness, attitude, punctuality, and quality of work performed
  • Resolves performance issues
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of all station paperwork
  • Interview and hire Mechanics
  • Complete Station self-audits
  • Maintains list of all assigned calibrated tooling
  • Maintains current revision status of all assigned manuals
  • Ensures all assigned vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition
  • Ensures ETOPS duties are carried out as defined in EPPM
  • Performs duties significant to Lower Minimums Maintenance Program (LMMP) as specified in General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Chapter 12
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Performs other duties as specified by Director of Maintenance

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must be willing to work a shift schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess or able to obtain valid passport allowing unrestricted travel to all countries where OAI may fly
  • Position involves travel

 

  • Regular attendance during regularly scheduled business hours
  • Be available to work extended hours as required to maintain fleet
  • Subject to in-person supervision during working hours
  • In-person interaction with co-workers and supervisors
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid A&P license
  • B767 & 777 heavy maintenance experience and avionics required

 

 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

 

  • Sit – 60%

  • Walk – 20%
  • Lift up to 50 lbs

  • Requires ability to handle numerous activities at one time
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
  • Ability to apply common sense in performing job
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
