We are thrilled to announce that we are hiring a Controller with skilled nursing and/or long term care experience to join our Finance team at our corporate headquarters!
Controller Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and supports effective banking protocols.
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
- Coordinates all accounting processes that result in transactions from all subsystems into the general ledger.
- Audits and posts all transactions prepared by accounting staff.
- Reviews and approves accounts receivable journal entries, ancillary reconciliations, and revenue classification to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Assesses the accuracy of AP transactions recorded in the fiscal period and conveys any identified posting errors or missing expenses to ensure expenses are reported accurately for close.
- Prepares financial statements and facility financial notes to the operations team for assigned facilities.
- Monitors monthly and quarterly financial statement process to assure accuracy and timeliness of all reports issued including budget to actual for management company.
- Reviews balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accounts are kept current and outstanding balances are addressed timely.
- Coordinates all year-end tasks associated with timely completion of financial statements, tax returns, Medicare, and Medicaid cost reports.
- Prepares work papers required for all Medicare and/or Medicaid Cost Report(s) submissions.
- Participates in development of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Controller Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in the healthcare industry preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Controller Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or any related field.
- CPA preferred
- Experience with Dynamics GP and PointClickCare
- Minimum: 2-4 years related work experience
