Description:
Project Manager will manage the installation of a building automation system for a project currently under construction, ensuring a professional, timely and cost-effective installation process.
Project Manager is responsible for monitoring the construction project scope of work through its entire lifecycle. Duties include anticipating and scheduling supplies, equipment, and labor. Complete quality inspections and supervise all project members, including staff and sub-contractors.
Daily collaboration with all associated MEP and Construction Foreman to ensure all is running smoothly on the construction site associated with the scope of work. Additionally, responsible for ensuring all safety, quality, and health standards are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan construction processes
- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Track subcontractor delivery dates for materials
- Implement safety and quality guidelines
- Generate daily reports to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance, as required
- Keep track of material stock and orders
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Being a point of contact for various working groups
- Assist with project closeout
- Perform additional assignments per the Project Executive's direction
A successful candidate for Project Manager should have excellent communication and time management skills. They should have extensive construction experience and have the ability to take the initiative as needed during the construction project. A good Project Manager is resourceful and able to think analytically when faced with a problem.
Requirements and skills
- Previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Familiarity with MEP Systems
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lead and inspire
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
