Our client, a leading company specializing in wellhead and VRU compression, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join their team. This is a local position so you must be located within 80 miles of San Angelo, TX.
Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR, physical, and drug screening as a requirement for this position.
Summary :
The ideal Field Service Technician possesses hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing natural gas compression units. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing wellhead and VRU compression solutions, ensuring peak performance, reliability, and safety of both employees and equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and customer-specific safety requirements at job sites to maintain a safety-conscious work environment.
- Equipment Assembly & Maintenance : Build and assemble mechanical components according to specifications, and perform routine maintenance tasks on CNG engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tuning.
- Inventory Management : Track and manage inventory on the service truck, accurately charging out parts to maintain correct counts.
- Diagnostics & Repairs : Inspect natural gas compression units, conduct diagnostic tests, and handle complex repairs related to CNG fuel systems and engine components.
- Emissions Testing : Conduct emissions tests on CNG compressors to ensure compliance with local and federal standards.
