We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will lead engineering initiatives to develop and improve technical products, systems, and processes. This hands-on position involves collaboration across diverse, cross-functional teams and multiple manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who bring :

A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

At least 7 years of experience in an industrial environment.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

Expertise in manufacturing, especially in metal roll forming, punch press, injection molding, or extrusion.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.

Strong leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

The ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels.

Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.

A proven ability to manage priorities, balance internal and external demands, and meet deadlines.

A track record of successfully implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.

A self-driven mindset and a commitment to manufacturing excellence.

Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations on new equipment.

Collaborate on new product development and lead the engineering aspects of equipment launches.

Drive continuous improvement by optimizing product flow and processes.

Conduct time studies and create standardized work procedures.

Analyze data to design efficient work cell layouts.

Oversee maintenance programs and implement standardized processes.

Partner with customers and vendors to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

Manage capital projects and engineering assignments.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality assurance policies, and industry regulations.

Provide support to plants and vendors to achieve operational excellence.

Assess safety risks and provide recommendations for capital investments.
