Position Summary
OmniSync is a venture and government backed dual use SaaS company transforming the way public and private sectors innovate. Our best-in-class AI / NLP-powered marketplaces democratize access to public / private innovation funds. We make it quick and easy for anyone who needs deep market intelligence, predictive insights, and critical resources to make informed decisions.
Our platforms include :
- TurboSBIR, assisting innovators in finding and applying for innovation grants and contracts from US Federal government agencies.
- TurboInnovate, generating comprehensive market research reports within minutes. Subscribers have access to and the ability to review patients / trademarks / IP, funding trends, competitors, potential leads, and investors for their preferred domains, and much more.
As a Principal Data and AI Architect, you will be a vital leader fully responsible for the development and execution of OmniSync’s strategies and delivery of all data, modeling, insights, roadmaps, growth, and expansion of the company’s data and AI initiatives. In addition to your managerial role, you should be comfortable with prototyping and testing, and be able to quickly iterate and optimize your algorithms. This is NOT a manage-only role; we expect you to also get in the weeds with your team and code! You should have a keen interest in staying up to date with the latest technologies and understanding the implications for our industry.
You must have proven experience managing a diverse team of data scientists, engineers, and other support personnel to ensure the development and execution of the company goals. As a data-driven company, you must be able to develop and manage your teams’ OKRs and KPIs to achieve the company’s goals. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, tenacity, grit, and the ability to thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of a scaling startup. You will maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials and exercise a high level of discretion when interfacing with all aspects of the role and will represent OmniSync in a positive light through superior follow-through and sound judgment.
You will be responsible for designing and creating innovative solutions by using data-driven discovery techniques on complex, dynamical, and high-dimensional data sets, implementing data science and artificial intelligence methods, high-performance computing, and integration of these methods into software pipelines. You will participate in state-of-the-art research and application of modern data and software techniques to a wide variety of systems data. Experience with modern deep learning techniques in NLP including sequence-to-sequence models, distributed representations, pointer networks, attentional models, etc.

Salary : $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 USD
Full benefits coverage, 401K plans with matching, plus stock options.
Hybrid : Must be able and willing to be in our office in San Diego, 92123 at least twice a week with additional days as needed for innovation-fostering collaborations.
