Essential Responsibilities
- Work in coordination with Commercial/Business Development teams and railroad operations management to secure, setup, onboard and manage new transload customers.
- Develop relationships with transload customers, 3rd party transload operators, and service providers.
- In collaboration with railroad’s General Manager, provide leadership for optimal performance of OmniTRAX operated transload facilities:
- Drive excellence in management of customers’ on-hand inventories and quality of services provided to customers.
- Implement process to prevent inventory discrepancies, mis-shipments and inventory loss.
- Ensure regular physical inventory counts are performed, documented and reconciled with Customers.
- Implement routine housekeeping, maintenance and investment programs for best-in-class organization and presentation of facilities.
- Create and deploy maintenance programs for transload equipment.
- Spend time on-site working with operating personnel to lead desired performance of the operation.
- Develop, implement and oversee processes and systems to manage the flow of customer requests for services, from receipt to fulfillment, at OmniTRAX operated transload facilities.
- Interface with 3rd party technology providers and internal IT resources to address the technological needs of OmniTRAX transload customers and transload facility operations.
- Work with subject matter experts and OmniTRAX’s safety department to develop and deploy transload operating process and procedures, including process and procedures for the operation of equipment where applicable.
- Measure throughput and capacity utilization at transload facilities.
- Support planning and execution of OmniTRAX strategic initiatives.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 5 years work experience in rail industry, rail transloading experience preferred
- 2 years supervisory experience in rail industry
- Experience managing customer relationships and operational functions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- Business acumen
- Superior interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Time management skills to meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively converse with all levels of the company, customers and business/industry associates

- Starting Salary: $90,799
- FLSA Status: Exempt, Not Eligible for Overtime
