DescriptionPerform bench testing and analyze key performance of products;Conduct analytic studies of CMOS image sensor’s fundamental performance issues and provide technical suggestions of improvement;Work with analog / digital design team to troubleshoot chip / system level performance issues;Process and analyze quantum efficiency and chief ray angle data for product development;Develop scientific image quality measure and ISP verification tools;Conduct modeling and simulation of imaging systems;Conduct image quality calibration, evaluation and analysis, and ISP pipeline tuning.Requirements : Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields, plus six month experience in image sensor.Required experience : Conducted characterization and validation of CMOS sensor, focusing on pixel performance analysis.Devised an image processing algorithm to optimize camera reading for maximal resolution and sensitivity. Devised a methodology to minimize camera offset errors effectively. Validated temperature testing procedures to ensure camera stability.Established camera imaging bench setup with meticulous precision control, inclusive of devising test setups, test plans, and conducting data analysis on various targets. Devised the target pattern, encompassing precise calculations for dimensions, positioning, and pixel count. Developed image processing metrics for evaluating system-level performance and executed test plans to validate these metrics.Developed various algorithms for correcting distortion, resulting in notable distortion reduction and optimal data extraction under various lighting conditions.Required Tools and Skills : Proficient in Imaging Systems, Optical Testing, Camera Evaluation, Optical Instrumentation, NVIPM, Python Image Processing tool, Advanced Microsoft Excel. Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $151,091- $155,000.
