Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems and equipment. You will work closely with clients to ensure their communication needs are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and be comfortable working in various environments. You have to possess an IAD Badge in order to be considered for the job.
Duties
- Install and configure telecommunications equipment, including cabling and security systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to computer networking, remote access software, and surveillance systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for installation and repair tasks.
- Provide field service support to clients, addressing any technical concerns or inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to telecommunications installation.
- Knowledge of low voltage principles for network installations.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and networking concepts.
- Experience with cabling techniques for data and voice communications.
- Familiarity with security systems including surveillance cameras and alarms.
- Ability to work with remote access software for troubleshooting purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical tasks.

Pay: $24.80 - $36.01 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
