Role: Data Scientist

Location: (Washington DC / Northern Virginia)
Salary: $160k-$200k Shares and bonus
My client is an innovative company delivering cutting-edge AI and data analytics solutions through an advanced AI platform. They are currently seeking a Data Scientist with an active TS/SCI security clearance to join their growing Platform team. This role offers significant career growth opportunities for those aiming to progress into Lead Data Scientist or Team Manager positions.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage the capabilities of my client’s AI platform to design and deploy production-level AI solutions for customers.
- Take ownership of customer data workflows—from ideation through to deployment of AI models in real-world environments.
- Utilize integrations with large-scale data platforms (e.g., Databricks) to build scalable solutions as needed.
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance and willingness to work in a SCIF when required.
- Reside in or near Washington DC / Northern Virginia to access relevant secure facilities.
- Open to regular travel to client locations and military installations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field).
- 3 years of experience writing production-grade Python code.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with core Python data libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, sklearn, tensorflow, pytorch, matplotlib).
- At least 1 year of experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- 1–2 years of experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, graph databases).
- 3 years of experience using Git or similar version control systems.
- At least 1 year of experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Demonstrated experience leading project development efforts from a SCIF.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity analytics, including PCAP, CVEs, and network monitoring.
- Experience integrating with technologies such as Spark, Dask, Snowpark, or Kafka.
- Background in web application stacks (e.g., Flask, Django) or task schedulers (e.g., Airflow, Celery, Prefect).
