Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for preparation, assignment and coordination of all accounting transactions.
• Prepares monthly and periodic financial statements. Takes ownership of the entire process and ensures timeliness of reporting with a high degree of accuracy and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and processes.
• Responsible for the integrity of data interfaces with Company ERP system and other internal systems and participates in developing workflows.
• Provides financial analysis support as needed.
• Performs billing, collections, accounts payable transactions. Provides training and direction when needed.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
• Determines the adequacy of current financial systems. Supports system upgrades and participates in any new accounting system implementations.
• Presents financial information in user friendly dashboard and graphic formats where needed.
• Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations and participating in educational opportunities.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business and finance, with a concentration in accounting courses, or equivalent experience or certification.
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in an accounting role.
• Hands on accounting experience required and experience delegating tasks or managing staff.
• Highly proficient with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Enterprise, Netsuite, and/or comparable accounting software.
• Good interpersonal skills and comfortable working in a supportive team environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a major plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office suite required.
• Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.
• Experience operating in a high growth environment is desirable.
Compensation based on experience.
