What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter/Designer position at Omya Inc?
BASIC FUNCTION: Facility/System Mechanical Design Drafter.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Creation of Project Concept Design Drawings based on system function requirements. Requires the ability to understand process systems and to graphically convey equipment and building arrangement with regard to system flow and spatial relationships.
Site/Field inspection, measurement and drawing for proposed installations.
Project cost estimation and equipment specification.
Design, Drafting as per the requirements of the Project Manager.
Create Mechanical Equipment Fabrication Drawings, Flow Diagrams, and P&IDs.
Procurement, retrieval, and transmission of engineering specifications and information as required for project construction/technical support.
Support existing operating facilities with technical and drafting services.
Maintenance of drawing files and entry of drawing information for reference file upkeep.
Modify Loop and Motor Electrical Diagrams.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in Drafting with a of 7 or more years of experience at an Engineer Technician II level (or equivalent) in designing, detailing and drafting (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Drafting experience should include: structural, mechanical, process diagram, electrical, and architectural layout on board and computer. Must be proficient in Auto CAD (3D Auto CAD preferred, but not required). Familiarity with Auto Desk products and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
