Loadout Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Loadout Technician

SUBORDINATES: None

DIVISION: Alabama

DEPARTMENT: Logistics Infrastructure

REPORTS TO: Supervisor Plant Shipping

BASIC FUNCTION: Maintain high product quality and production rates on all process equipment in Load- out. Trouble-shooting and correcting minor electrical, electronic, or mechanical problems affecting process equipment. Ensure accuracy of load-out shipments and documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Use the process computer system to start up, operate, and shut down the load-out equipment to efficiently load the product in the appropriate vessel. (1,3,5)

Correct minor electrical, electronic, or mechanical malfunctions of the load-out equipment. (2)

Ensure that slurry and dry products are not contaminated due to product grade changes or human error. (1,5)

Train and document new employees.

Assume responsibility for load-out operations when immediate supervisors are not present.

Obtain load-out samples to determine product quality. If the lab reports quality problems, take immediate corrective action and report problems to the appropriate supervisors. (1)

Make thorough mechanical inspection of all railcars and tank trucks per “InspectionForm” checklist.

Ensure stenciling and placarding requirements of railcars/trucks per “InspectionForm” checklist.

Inspect and wash filters/magnets in slurry load-out system.

Load and weigh slurry products per shipping document instructions and record all information and certified weights pertaining to shipments. (1,2,3)

Retain slurry samples of products loaded for shipment.

Operate and maintain mobile equipment used to move railcars. (2)

Must be available to work overtime and accept call-ins with or without prior notice.Keep work area clean, safe, and in orderly condition. Perform daily safety and mechanical inspections of work area and equipment. Enforce all Company safety regulations. Report immediately any accidents, safety violations, acts of insubordination, thefts, etc. to immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent : Must be able to read and do basic math functions . Must have basic computer skills .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.60 - $28.40 per hour

• 12 hour shift
