In short
On is hiring an Inventory Management Specialist to lead the inventory accountability processes & requirements, responsible for shaping how that is implemented & executed within the Americas. This role is a critical junction point, linking on-site warehouse team performance with network standard expectations. You are responsible for defining, measuring, and analyzing the results of our 3PL partner’s ability to control, track & manage inventory within our 3PL Network.
Your Mission
- You will lead in the inventory accountability process, partnering with multiple sites to understand their needs, and develop executable strategies to support them
- You will conduct monthly, weekly and daily inventory reconciliation deep dives to assess the health of the inventory portfolio for the region
- You will maintain an efficient internal control environment, including monitoring of key control executions, preparation of accurate and timely formal written reports/oral presentations to cross-functional management on findings, management control remediation plans and recommendations
- You will lead and execute data analytics and reporting for SOX and operational projects
- You will work with the internal compliance team to oversee third-party inspections and audits, related to remediation and coordinate the preparation of third-party audit responses
- You will analyze large sets of data to support conclusions, control implementation, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, producing clear and concise reports/documents that communicate key insights, observations, and best practices
Your story
- 3 years of experience in inventory management & logistics for large organizations, preferably within the sporting goods industry
- Extensive knowledge of (US) GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and experience with third-party audits
- Experience managing a logistics strategy and inventory balances at multi-site locations, managing 20,000 SKU’s and 1 million units inventory
- Knowledge of operational, and business processes, ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) and/or other financial applications
- Experience managing and analyzing large sets of data in Microsoft Excel or other systems, able to distill down and share key insights using Lookups, Pivot tables and general trend analysis
- Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time, fluctuating with business needs
- Able to flex schedule to cover one weekend a month conducting overnight inventory syncs
