Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a Buyer has arisen. As a Buyer, you will develop and implement global external supplier and commodity strategies that will drive long-term improvements in quality, cost and delivery, with engagement and support of key stakeholders so as to enhance competitive and commercial performance of our company, its customers and suppliers. You will also operate within the supply chain management team/purchasing team across the full product/service life cycle, ensuring supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications:
• Experience in a global environment
• SAP Experience
• Associate degree with 4 years of operational, procurement or logistical experience, OR
• Bachelor's with 2 year of operational, procurement or logistical experience, OR
• Master’s degree, OR
• JD/PhD, OR
• 6 years of operational, procurement or logistical experience in lieu of a degree
• In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
• Previous procurement for government experience
• Adept with technical knowledge
• Purchasing experience
• Past experience with government procurement in the aerospace or medical procurement
• MPV Material Price Variance – to be able to adjust actual charges to PO’s based on increases and decreases of materials
• Attitude, Energy and Speed – They would like someone that see issues, plan and perform the actions to complete. That action in many cases, may be to delegate to POC Buyers or to implement the action independently.

Requirements:
• Support and/or lead key contract negotiations, including completing costs analysis and negotiations on terms and conditions
• Managing work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of purchase documents
• Supplier operations and relationship management within commodity group
• Cost reduction / cost management to support the companies cost targets
• Support and/or lead development and execution of commodity strategies
